Isolation Style Tips Every Women Needs

Even though you are home, it's important not to loose your sense of style.

Well how are your all?   Hopefully, you're all relaxing in lockdown and enjoying the opportunity to spend more time with family (whether in your household or remotely via Facebook or apps like Houseparty) and catching up on those little jobs around the house that you never seem to have had the time for.  If you are continuing to work on the frontline -  our huge thanks for all you are doing and hopefully this blog allows for some light relief.

Although it may seem trivial, more and more we are hearing how getting up everyday and making an effort to get dressed and look good - albeit in your most comfortable separates - is so important when it comes to feeling mentally well, so here we bring you some handy style tips to ensure you feel fabulous on a daily basis.

1. Organise Your Wardrobe

Firstly, when it comes to dressing stylishly, organising and editing your wardrobe is so important.  We got into this in more detail last week and if you haven't done it already, you can read what you need to do here...

2. Balance Your Top & Bottom

A successful look comes from striking the right balance between your top and bottom half.  In other words, if you're wearing a loose fitted blouse or jumper, try pairing with a pair of leggings or slim leg jeans, and if your're wearing wide-leg trousers, tuck your shirt in and create a waist; if you are conscious of your bottom half then layer with a long cardigan.

3. Shop For Your Shape

If you are in need of some online retail therapy, purchasing pieces that work for your body shape is essential.  If you're not sure what clothes work best for you, have a look at the most flattering items your already own. For example, if high-rise skinny jeans are your perfect fit leave the loose fitting styles to others, in the same way if a cropped trouser isn't working keep it full-length.  Don't follow trends, stick with what works for you and have fun experimenting with different colours and prints.  Don't forget we at Evelin Brandt offer a professional stylist service which is just a phone call away.

4. Don't Be Afraid To Wear Prints

Patterns are an excellent way to add some life to your wardrobe, and mixing patterns is even better.  So, if you've been sticking to basic block colours, there's no better time to have some fund and embrace prints.

5. Choose Flattering Colours

To ensure every outfit your wear looks amazing, fill your wardrobe with the colours that flatter you the most.  If you have a cool complexion, shop for garments in colours like white, black, grey, silver and blue.  If your undertones are warm, stock up on pieces in shades of brown, yellow, gold, olive and red.  However, there are so many variations of all of these colours you might find even if you have a warm undertone that there is a shade of blue that works on you, etc.

6. Don't Forget To Accessories

Adding accessories should be the final step to completing all your outfits.  Whether it;s something as simple as a scarf or a decadent as lashings of necklaces, accessories have the power to transform your look from good to great.  Therefore, it's important to invest in accessories and wear them.

7. Invest In a White Fitted Shirt

A white fitted shirt is a highly versatile pieces of clothing and an invaluable item to have on hand.  We always have white shirts within our collections, from loose to fitted styles, including our ever-popular shirt-collared fitted stretch tops, perfect for layering under a sweatshirt or jumper.

8. Be Prepared

Even though your aren't rushing out in the mornings, when you are at home with young kids and animals, getting up and going in the morning can still be a bit of a rush.  Therefore, if you used to set your clothes out for going to work the next day, still maintain this routine and you'll find that you're wearing clothes that make you feel good!

From all of us at EB, stay safe, stylish and take care. x
